When we arrive st Sapphire Marina at 1:30 PM on the 24th we were told that it was too early to check in but we could leave our bags and come back.
Not only would it have been a less expensive option but several family members would be staying at that property. The next door property, Sapphire Beach did not although it was considerably less expensive. Going through the many hotel options offered by Travelocity in the area, we chose Sapphire Marina over its sister property next store, Sapphire Beach for the explicit reason that it offered two double beds. Since the scattering of the ashes and the memorial service were both to be in the Red Hook area, we specifically wanted a property nearby.
